James Bruce Bashore
December 25, 1964 – December 13, 2019
James Bruce Bashore, 54, passed away Friday, December 13th.
An Allen County native, he was the youngest son of the late Elmer J. and Clotilde Bashore. Bruce was a 1983 graduate of Allen County-Scottsville High School, Scottsville, Kentucky; and Lexington Community College, earning a Bachelor of Architecture (BArch) in 1985. He had worked for Sherman-Carter-Barnhart Architects as a CADD Technician for 30 years. Bruce was a music and motorcycle enthusiast, and a skilled golfer.
He survived by his three brothers; Robert (Debbie) Bashore, Louisville, Kentucky, Clyde (Dorothy) Bashore, Jacksonville, Florida, and Richard (Mary Lyndon) Bashore, Lexington, Kentucky. Additional survivors include three nephews; Tyson Bashore of Louisville, Kentucky; Trent (Trang) Bashore of Crestwood, Kentucky; and Seth (Katie) Bashore of Columbia, South Carolina; and his niece: Christie Blackmon (Shawn), Jacksonville, Florida. Bruce will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends, who were a vital part of his life.
A Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 4, 2020 at Milward’s Funeral Home, 1509 Trent Boulevard, Lexington, Kentucky; visitation before service from noon until 1:00 PM. Rev. Dan Smith, Louisa United Methodist Church will officiate.
Visitation in Scottsville, Kentucky will be from noon until 2:00 PM January 5, 2020 at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home, 201 North Court Street, Scottsville, KY 42164, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 2:00 PM. Private burial will take place following the service at Crescent Hill Cemetery.
