Stanton Reynolds Goad

Madison, TN

Stanton Reynolds Goad, 70 of Madison TN, passed away October 12, 2022.  Stan was a Metro police officer for 30 years, and he considered it an honor and a privilege to serve the citizens of Nashville. 

 

After his retirement, he began working at Toliver’s Pawn Shop in Madison where he enjoyed making jokes and deals with customers and the other employees, most of whom became close friends to him. 

 

He was a member of the Madison Masonic Lodge and the Al Menah Shrine Temple. Stan loved photography, airplanes, a cup of coffee and a smoke, The Beatles, and being from Scottsville, Kentucky. He never met a stranger, and once he considered you a friend, he never let you leave without telling you he loved you and asking, “Do you need anything?” He loved all of his family fiercely, and he will be missed more than he could have ever imagined. 

Preceded in death by his father, William Ray Goad, Sr.; mother, Elena Goad Warden; step-father, Jake Warden; Brother Bill Goad. 
 
Survived by his daughters, Ashley King (Phillip) and Laura Katherine Brott (Sam); grandchildren, Grant King, Jackson King, Ryan King, Connor King, and Henry Brott; mother of his daughters, Sandi Goad; Brother, Pat Goad (Elaine); niece, Katie Perkins; nephew, Ryan Goad.
 
His final resting place will be at the Crescent Hill Cemetery in Scottsville, KY. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Metro Police Christmas Charities, nashville.gov.
