Robert Juliun Brogli

November 1, 1938 — July 2, 2025

Scottsville

Robert Juliun Brogli died on July 2, 2025, having lived 86 years in a way that suited him — quiet, steady, and on his own terms. He was a member of the Scottsville Baptist Church and found peace in God’s creation in the woods, on the water, and in the dirt of his garden.

He was also a dedicated and enthusiastic eater. He loved his family — not with big words or gestures, but in his presence, his reliability, and his willingness to show up when needed. He wasn’t sentimental, but his care was real, and those close to him felt it, even if they had to learn how to recognize it.

Bob is survived by his wife of 64 years, Janice Daulton Brogli, his children Julia Brogli (Mark Barrett), Maria McGary (Michael Weinert), and Eric Brogli (Lisa), his grandchildren, Sean Barrett, Maureen “Mo” Barrett, Duncan McGary, and Emma and Anna Brogli, his great grandson Kai Jackson Kendrick, brothers, Gene Brogli (Grethel) and Vernon “Bud” Brogli (Rose), and sister Jo Ann Crowe. Preceding him in death are his parents, Ottie Walker Brogli and Elsie Hazel Brown Brogli and four brothers, Bill, Walker, Jim and Jack Brogli.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday July 10, at 9:00 a.m. at New Hope Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Sunrise Children’s Services in his memory. Online at www.sunrise.org or mail to Sunrise Children’s Services P. O. Box 1429 Mount Washington, KY 40047.
