Judy Turner Merrow, age 73, passed on July 17, 2026.

Born on May 7, 1953, Judy was the beloved daughter of Ray and Angie Kitner and the devoted wife of Elery Merrow Sr. She was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, great-grandmother, and a source of strength, comfort, and unconditional love to her family and friends.

Judy had a servant’s heart and truly loved helping people. She was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed her. Her generous spirit, caring nature, and warm smile touched countless lives. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and creating lasting memories with those she loved.

Judy is survived by her loving husband Elery Merrow Sr.; her children, Shawn Richardson, Scott McClintock (wife Jen), and Sally McClintock (Barry Failor); her stepchildren, April, Elery, and Marcia; her beloved grandchildren Kace, Cassandra, Jordan, Sabastian, Kyleigh, Kiersten, and Kora; her cherished great-granddaughter; Mavelynn; extended family; and many dear friends who miss her deeply.

Judy was preceded in death by her beloved granddaughter Nicole “BeBop” McClintock, whose memory she held close to her heart.

Judy’s life was defined by love, kindness, compassion, and selflessness. She leaves behind a legacy of caring for others and putting family first. Though she will be deeply missed, the love she shared and the memories she created will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

A memorial service celebrating Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, July 25, from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Scottsville First United Methodist Church, 400 East Main Street, Scottsville. Family and friends are invited to gather to honor her life, share memories, and celebrate the lasting impact she had on everyone who knew her.
