Harold Winford Payne, age 81, died Sunday September 13, 2015 at the Community South Hospital in Indianapolis, IN.

The Scottsville, KY native was the son of the late James Utah Payne and Birthy Patrick Payne. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Payne, his daughter Carnell Payne, his brother Raymond Payne and three sisters, Beulah Parham, Thelma Slayton and Vinnie Jenkins.

He is survived by his daughter Sheila Smith and husband Phil of Glasgow, KY, his son Allen Payne of Glasgow, KY, a step-son, James Brown and wife Bonnie of Indianapolis, IN, two sisters, Viola Colson, of Indianapolis, IN, and Evie Stinson of Scottsville, KY, and one brother, Calvin Payne of Lafayette, TN. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.

Visitation will be Tuesday September 15, 2015 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM EDT at the N. F. Chance Funeral Home 504 National Ave.  Indianapolis IN.

Visitation will be Wednesday September 16, 2015 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM CDT at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home and Thursday until the funeral time.

Funeral Services will be Thursday September 17, 2015 at 1:00 PM CDT at the T. W. Crow & Son Funeral Home with burial in the Union Hill Cemetery In Moss, TN.
