Calvin Duran “Spanky” Carter

January 20, 1964 – June 21, 2026

Calvin Duran Carter, age 62, passed away peacefully at his residence Sunday, June 21, 2026 in Scottsville, Kentucky.

Calvin, known to his brothers and sisters as Randy, was born Monday, January 20, 1964 to the late Calvin Jasper Carter and Beulah Jean (Taylor) Carter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Frank Dwight Carter and sister, Teresa Eileen Carter.

He was a carpenter by trade and was very attentive to detail. He was also known for his sense of humor where he inherited the nickname “Spanky.” He was a son, brother, father, grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all.

His memories will be cherished by his four daughters: Kirby Michelle Weaver, Maelea Perdue, Dani Lea Eaton and Brenna Jean Eaton; his brother, Sam Carter; his sisters, Lisa Edwards and Jeanette Carter; grandchildren, Jeffery Talbott, Brooklyn Murphy, Ava Stanger and Rylan Weaver.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. at T.W. Crow & Son Funeral Home. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 23 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and resume Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour all at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Carters Tabernacle Cemetery.
