Barbara Kay Smith

Barbara Kay Spears Smith, age 86, passed away peacefully on June 19, 2026 in Bowling Green, KY.

Born in Scottsville, Ky on October 11, 1939, Barbara was the daughter of the late Roy Wesley Spears and Verlice McCabe Hargett Spears. She was the youngest of six children and is preceded in death by her siblings and their spouses, Gene Spears (Marjorie), Odie Spears (Mary Helen), Roy Spears Jr. (Ingrid), Lucille Delgado (Del) and Thelma Simmons (Jimmy).

She is survived by her children, Edwina Lyons, Shannon Fisher (Rick) and Clint Smith (Beth), six grandchildren, Dr. Eric Fisher (Brittany), Shelby Fisher (Robert Johnson), Mitch Lyons (Keeley), Kaylee Cox (Dillon), Alex Lyons and Wesley Fisher, two great grandsons, James and Jackson Fisher and several nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen and private services will be held.
